Pratap: The Guardian of Environment, Nature, Mountains, and Water

Maharana Pratap was a staunch protector of the environment, nature, mountains, and water. He was a great and inspirational emperor committed to ecological conservation.

These thoughts were expressed during the Maharana Pratap Memorial Lake Cleanup and Dialogue held on Sunday.

Speakers at the dialogue included Dr. Anil Mehta from the Lake Conservation Committee, Tej Shankar Paliwal, former member of the Lake Development Authority, Nand Kishore Sharma, director of Gandhi Manav Kalyan Samiti, Kushaal Rawal, director of Abhinav Sansthan, lake enthusiast Ramesh Chandra Rajput, and Yashwasini Singh, among others.

The speakers emphasized that Maharana Pratap was an inspiration for the scientific construction of water sources. His reign was an exemplary model of nature-friendly development. Pratap's strategy in his victory over Akbar was based on the use of mountains and forests.

Environmental activists present at the program reiterated their commitment to continuous efforts in nature and environmental conservation. They also expressed confidence that through coordinated efforts between the administration and citizens, the living legacy of Pratap's heritage—mountains and forests—would be preserved.
