High-Level Committee to Investigate Under Chief Secretary's Supervision

###Investigation into Irregularities in GBH Hospital and College Building Construction

**Unauthorized Constructions to be Seized Within 72 Hours - Minister of Urban Development**

**Jaipur-Udaipur,  Urban Development and Self-Governance Minister, Mr. Jhabbarsingh Khara, announced in the state assembly on Monday that a high-level committee will be formed under the supervision of the Chief Secretary to investigate complaints of irregularities in the construction of the GBH Hospital and College buildings in rural Udaipur. He stated that any constructions carried out without approval will be seized by the concerned urban body within 72 hours.

Mr. Khara was responding to questions raised during the Zero Hour by Udaipur (Rural) MLA Mr. Phool Singh Meena through a call attention motion. He explained that on July 18, 1998, Udaipur District Collector allocated land to Messrs American International Health Management Limited, a registered company, for the establishment of a hospital and diagnostic and health center for a period of 99 years.

Mr. Khara informed that the construction approval for this plot was issued by the trust on July 4, 2014, allowing for the construction of the GBH Hospital according to the approved map.

Upon inspection, it was found that the current buildings include unauthorized constructions contrary to the approved plans: a ground floor plus eight floors for the nursing hostel and a ground floor plus nine floors for the professor building.

Additionally, complaints of fraud and forgery involving Rajasthan State Mineral and Mines Limited and Maharana Bhupal Government Hospital have been received, which appear to be true upon preliminary investigation. Minister Khara stated that this matter involves the Urban Development Department, Medical and Health Department, and Mining Department. A high-level committee will be formed to investigate under the supervision of the state's Chief Secretary. Unauthorized constructions will be seized by the concerned urban body within 72 hours, and the assembly secretariat and department will be informed accordingly.
