Twenty Pakistani Displaced Persons Granted Indian Citizenship in Jaisalmer

On Friday evening, District Magistrate and Collector Pratap Singh presented Indian citizenship certificates to twenty Pakistani displaced persons at the DRDA Hall in the Jaisalmer District Collectorate.

The newly naturalized Indian citizens expressed their joy, sharing that their long-held dream of becoming Indian citizens had finally come true. Among those receiving the certificates were Mrs. Shakeena, Ridmal, Nazir, Matli Mai, Bhagwan Singh, and Mrs. Sugna.

The event was attended by Rajesh Jain, Under Secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Additional District Collector Munneeram Bagdiya, and Hindu Singh Sodha, along with the Pakistani citizens and their relatives.

Following the distribution of the citizenship certificates, the District Collector congratulated the new Indian citizens. The Additional District Collector mentioned that a two-day camp had been organized to facilitate the citizenship process.

The newly naturalized citizens celebrated their new status by distributing sweets and exchanging garlands, sharing their happiness with one another.
