Lt. (Dr.) D. S. Chouhan, Deputy Dean of Students’ Welfare and Head, Dept of Mathematics, Sir Padampat Singhania University, Udaipur, has been nominated as the Contingent Commander for the Rajasthan Directorate NCC at the upcoming ThalSainik Camp, scheduled to be held at Delhi Cantt from September 2 to 13, 2024.
The Honourable Vice-Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) Prithvi Yadav, congratulated Lt. Chouhan and commended his exemplary service. Prof. Yadav emphasized the university's commitment to holistic education and development, highlighting the importance of such training camps in instilling discipline and leadership qualities in students. The nomination of Lt. (Dr.) Chouhan, Associate NCC Officer, SPSU for this prestigious national-level camp reflects the university's dedication to excellence in training and development, providing young cadets with valuable opportunities to grow, learn, and prepare for future challenges.
The camp will see participation from over 2,000 cadets representing 17 Directorates of NCC across the country. During the camp, cadets will engage in various competitions, including firing, map reading, judging distance and field signals, tent pitching, obstacle training, and health and hygiene. Additionally, the camp will also focus on sports activities designed to foster camaraderie and a competitive spirit among the cadets.
