Rajasthan Ratnakar Awards Announced for 2024

New Delhi,  Rajasthan Ratnakar, a leading social service organization, has announced the recipients of its prestigious awards for outstanding contributions across various fields. The awards will be presented during the organization’s golden jubilee celebrations on September 8, 2024, at the India Habitat Centre in New Delhi.

Rajendra Gupta, Chairman of Rajasthan Ratnakar, revealed that this year’s awards include:

Deepchand Jain Literary Award for exceptional service to Rajasthani literature, awarded to Dr. Chandra Prakash Deval from Udaipur, who is also a Padma Shri laureate.

Shri Bagla Literary Award for the best Rajasthani book, awarded to Dr. Kirti Sharma of Nohr (Hanumangarh) for her book “Baat Ek Raat Ri.”

Roopramka Lokgeet Award for contributions to Rajasthani folk music, awarded to Shankar Singh Rajpuriohit from Bikaner.

The selection was made by an esteemed committee including MP P.P. Chaudhary, Padma Shri Sheela Junjhunwala, humorist Padma Shri Surendra Sharma, former Delhi Government Minister Ramakant Goswami, and the founders of the organization, O.P. Bagla and Ramesh Jain.

Gupta further noted that the awards will be presented at the annual ceremony on September 8 at the India Habitat Centre. The chief guests for the event will be Union Ministers Gajendra Singh Shekhawat (Culture and Tourism) and Arjun Ram Meghwal (Law and Justice). The special guest will be MP Praveen Khandelwal from Chandni Chowk, Delhi. The ceremony will be presided over by former Union Minister and MP from Pali, P.P. Chaudhary. Rajesh Bansal (BPL) and Ashok Gupta (Sakarni) will serve as the welcoming hosts.

Awards in Various Categories

In addition to literary awards, the ceremony will honor individuals for their exceptional contributions in different fields:

Shri Narsingh Das Gupta Smriti Award for significant contributions to business and industry, awarded to Nitin Agarwal, CEO of Prayag Group.

Shri Loknath Saraf Smriti Award for excellence in medicine, awarded to Dr. Raj Kwanr Yadav of AIIMS Delhi.

Abhipra Social Service Award for outstanding social work, awarded to former Rotary Club District Governor CA Ashok Kantur.

Shri Vasudev Dalmia Smriti Award for administrative excellence, awarded to IG Deepak Kedia of the NSG.

Bhagwan Das Morijawala Smriti Award for exceptional contribution to education, awarded to Principal Prof. Simrat Kaur of Shri Ram College of Commerce.

Special Honors for Women and Journalism

Shrimati Narayani Devi Mahavir Prasad Bhagnka Smriti Award for women empowerment, awarded to Dr. Meenakshi Nair, President of the Itash Organization.

Shri Gaurishankar Tulsian Smriti Award for notable achievements in journalism, awarded to Dr. Rakesh Gupta, Chairman of Sadhna TV.

Shri Ramkarn Gupta Smriti Award for societal contributions through administrative service, awarded to Nikhil Kumar, Principal Secretary of the Land and Building Department of Delhi Government.

Special Scholarships for Underprivileged Students

The organization will also distribute 1,000 special scholarships of ₹2,000 each to underprivileged and deserving students. Additionally, 2,20,000 school notebooks, bags, geometry boxes, pens, and other items will be provided to needy students.

Sumit Gupta, General Secretary of the organization, mentioned that the event will feature a comedic theatrical performance, “Papa Man,” presented by the ALT Group.

The ceremony promises to be a significant event, celebrating the achievements of individuals who have made notable contributions to their respective fields and supporting the education and well-being of underprivileged students.
