Udaipur, Representatives of the Hotel Association Udaipur held a significant meeting today with Rajasthan's Deputy Chief Minister and Tourism Minister, Her Highness Princess Diya Kumari, at the Divisional Commissioner’s office. During the discussion, the association presented key suggestions to promote the 'Maharana Pratap Tourist Circuit' and improve 'tourism infrastructure.' The Deputy Chief Minister acknowledged the importance of the issues raised and especially appreciated the innovative idea of issuing 'Tourism Development Bonds' for funding.
In the meeting, Hotel Association Udaipur's Vice President Yashvardhan Ranawat proposed a grand project to construct a majestic statue of Maharana Pratap, similar in grandeur to the 'Statue of Unity' of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
The statue could be named the 'Statue of Sacrifice and Valor' or the 'Statue of Freedom,' symbolizing Maharana Pratap’s courage, sacrifice, and spirit of independence. The delegation suggested that this project could be funded through public-private partnerships (PPP), public donations, tourism development bonds, and international support.
The delegation included Senior Vice President Rajesh Agarwal, Secretary Usha Sharma, and Mukesh Madhwani.
