Udaipur, The Vidya Pracharini Sabha of Bhupal Nobles University, Udaipur, celebrated the birth of Lord Ganesha with great enthusiasm and devotion. The auspicious day began with a traditional milk ablution, followed by the ceremonial adorning of the deity with sacred attire. The beautifully decorated idol was offered a variety of sweets and the revered modak, a favorite of Lord Ganesha. The grand aarti was performed, and heartfelt prayers were offered for the prosperity and well-being of the institution and its members, resonating with chants of “Ganpati Bappa Morya, Mangalmurti Morya!”
The event was graced by Vidya Pracharini Sabha’s Acting President Colonel Professor Shiv Singh Sarangdevot, Secretary Mahendra Singh Agaria, Managing Director Mohabbat Singh Rathore, Joint Secretary Rajendra Singh Jhala, Finance Secretary Shakti Singh Ranawat, along with university officials including Registrar Dr. Niranjan Narayan Singh Rathore, Executive Members Mahendra Singh Chundawat, and Naval Singh Chundawat.
The Pharmacy Department and BN Girls' College also joined the festivities by installing eco-friendly Ganesh idols, crafted by the students of the Visual Arts Department. The idols, made from clay and other materials, reflected the creativity of the students as they depicted Lord Ganesha seated on a lotus, holding a paintbrush, with a canvas and color palette in front of him.
Dr. Shilpa Rathore, Dean of BN Girls' College, explained the cultural and spiritual significance of Ganesh Chaturthi, highlighting its deep roots in Indian traditions. Dr. Kanchan Rathore, Assistant Professor of Visual Arts, described the intricate artwork created by the students, showcasing Ganesha’s artistic side.
The event was a harmonious blend of devotion, creativity, and community spirit, marking a memorable celebration that united faculty, staff, and students in prayer for peace, prosperity, and progress.
