Shantanu Ghosh Awarded PhD from B.N. University for Innovative Ocular Gel Research

Udaipur — In a moment of pride for the city's academic community, Shantanu Ghosh, a research student at B.N. College of Pharmacy, B.N. University, Udaipur, has been awarded a PhD for his groundbreaking research on in-situ ocular gels. Guided by Associate Professor Dr. Kamal Singh Rathore, Ghosh's work has the potential to revolutionize eye care treatments.

Ghosh's research focused on developing a novel ocular gel containing moxifloxacin hydrochloride and dexamethasone sodium phosphate, designed to effectively treat various eye infections and inflammatory conditions. The in-situ gel transitions from a liquid to a gel upon contact with the eye, offering enhanced bioavailability, reduced dosing frequency, and improved patient compliance.

Dr. Rathore praised Ghosh's dedication and innovative approach, stating, "Shantanu's research has far-reaching implications for the pharmaceutical industry and eye care treatments. His work demonstrates the potential of innovative drug delivery systems to improve patient outcomes." Ghosh’s achievement reflects the university's commitment to advancing cutting-edge research and highlights B.N. College of Pharmacy's role as a hub for pharmaceutical research and innovation.
