Udaipur — The Forest Department's nature tour program, launched to promote eco-tourism and strengthen the public's connection with nature, has been a hit among environmentalists and the general public. Since its inception in July, the program has garnered significant enthusiasm, offering weekly tours every Sunday.
Deputy Forest Conservator (Wildlife) Devendra Kumar Tiwari reported that over 250 people have participated in tours to eco-destination sites such as Goramghat, Bhilberi, Phulwari, Ranakpur, and Jawai. As the monsoon season draws to a close, upcoming tours will include visits to the Sita Mata Wildlife Sanctuary, as well as eco-sites like Ranakpur-Jawai and Roli Todgarh Sanctuary. **Tour to Sita Mata Wildlife Sanctuary on September 15**
On Sunday, September 15, the tour will visit the Sita Mata Wildlife Sanctuary. Tourists will be guided on a 3-kilometer trek near the Arampura Check Post. Environmentalists will provide insights into the sanctuary's biodiversity. Notably, the sanctuary is renowned for the rare flying squirrel and is home to other wildlife such as the rare orchid, leopard, wild cat, and the four-horned antelope. The second phase of the tour will showcase the scenic Jakhm Dam.
