Udaipur: The Shiv Dal National Gymnasium, Neelkanth Mahadev, Udaipur, held a ceremony to honor its promising young wrestling champions.
Gauri Shankar Vasita, founder and director of the gymnasium, shared that recently, during the 68th District Higher Secondary Sports Competition 2024, five wrestlers trained at the gymnasium were honored. The awards ceremony was graced by Basanti Vaishnav, founder of Mewar Shakti Kalyan Trust, and Professor Vimal Sharma, President of Lokjan Seva Sansthan. They presented the winners with shawls and mementos in the presence of Shiv Dal Mewar Chief Manish Mehta.
In his address, Professor Vimal Sharma noted the frequent lack of large sports fields in schools and highlighted that Indian traditional sports such as wrestling, kho-kho, and gymnasium exercises are effective for achieving physical fitness. Mrs. Basanti Vaishnav congratulated the gymnasium’s trainers and emphasized the importance of self-defense training for schoolgirls and women. Manish Mehta assured active support for all activities of the gymnasium.

- Hemanshu - Encouragement Award, Under 17, 44 kg
The ceremony was attended by Deepesh Chauhan, Bhupendra Sharma, and Shiv Sen, among others.
