District-Level Water Festival Held at Ranerav Talab, Gogunda

Udaipur : Following the instructions of Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, the Rajasthan Water Festival was celebrated across the state on the sacred occasion of Devjhulni Ekadashi this Saturday. The festival involved worship and invocation at water bodies, educating the public on the importance of water and calling for its conservation. In Udaipur, the district-level water festival was organized at Ranerav Talab, Gogunda Panchayat Samiti, where officials, public representatives, and local residents participated.

The event at Ranerav Talab began with a formal worship ceremony led by Chief Guest, Vice-District Chief Pushkar Teli, District Council Chief Executive Officer and Program Nodal Officer Hemendra Nagar, among others. They performed ritual worship and aarti at the water body. Chief Guest Pushkar Teli emphasized the value of every drop of water and the need to understand and preserve it. He noted the recent good rainfall in the region and the positive impact of the Chief Minister’s Water Self-Reliance Campaign, which has improved the groundwater levels across the state.

CEO Hemendra Nagar highlighted the prosperity brought by the recent rains and mentioned the state government's intention to celebrate water conservation as a festival. He noted that Rajasthan is setting new benchmarks in water conservation, and significant work is being done under the Chief Minister’s Water Self-Reliance Campaign. He called upon villagers to avoid dumping waste into water bodies and to promote water conservation. The event was attended by Gogunda Pradhan Sundar Devi Gameti, Vice-Pradhan Lakshman Singh Jhala, district and sub-district officials from various departments, local representatives, and a large number of villagers.
