Discussion on Various Literary Forms at All-India Literary Council Meeting*
Literature is widely spread in the public consciousness, often reflected in everyday events and conversations. A writer must observe this and contribute to the enrichment of literature through in-depth self-study and original writing. This view was expressed by Vishnu Sharma 'Harihar,' the President of the Chittorgarh region of the All-India Literary Council, during a meeting with council officials in Udaipur on Sunday.
The meeting was attended by Regional Vice President Dr. Ravindra Upadhyay, Regional Women’s Secretary Rekha Lodha Smita, Metropolitan Unit President Kiran Bala Kiran, Metropolitan Patron Chandrakanta Bansal, District Unit President Om Prakash Sharma, Gaurikant Sharma, and other officials.
Harihar emphasized that literature serves as a mirror to society and can guide society when needed. Highlighting the importance of sacrifice, dedication, and patriotism, he stated that literature has the ability to unite society and reinforce nationalist ideas. He urged writers to ensure their work positively impacts society and the nation. He also suggested that schools and colleges should organize events on the anniversaries of literary figures and great personalities to inspire the new generation in literary creation.
Kiran Bala Kiran, President of the Metropolitan Unit, mentioned that Regional Vice President Ravindra Upadhyay provided insights into the objectives and policies of the council during the meeting. He noted that continuous writing builds a writer’s identity and fulfills their purpose. The importance of timely publication alongside sustained writing was also highlighted. Discussing the organization’s expansion, Regional Women’s Secretary Rekha Lodha Smita suggested providing a platform for young people with literary interests. The meeting also covered the council’s activities, regular and special programs, and strategies for reaching and engaging literary enthusiasts from all sections of society.
