### Dinesh Sharma, Nitin Babu, and Mahindrakar Indrajeet in Title Race

The Udaipur District Chess Association is hosting the 1st Udaipur International Chess Tournament at Hotel Solitaire, Shobhagpura. On the fourth day, the seventh round began with the ceremonial move by Rajmal Jain, founder president of JSG Lotus, and Dr. Sachin Jain, cancer specialist at VIMS Medical College. They encouraged the players with their presence.

According to event secretary Swati Sarupriya, the match between Dinesh Sharma from UP and Nithin Babu from Kerala ended in a draw, while Mahindrakar Indrajeet from Maharashtra defeated Delhi’s Ishan Wadhwan. The match between Gujarat’s Kartavya Anandkat and West Bengal’s Niladri Banerjee also concluded in a draw, whereas Ram Vishal Parab from Maharashtra triumphed over Gajendra Singh from Uttar Pradesh. Andhra Pradesh’s Amukta Guntaka and Maharashtra’s Soni Atharv ended in a draw, but Andhra’s Kolla Bhavana defeated Bihar’s Shubham Kumar. Arnav Khedkar from Maharashtra and Kishan Kumar from Bihar also drew their match, while Arnav Mahesh Koli from Maharashtra beat Rajasthan’s Divyanshu Babel.  

Other notable results include a draw between Ayush Das (West Bengal) and Rupesh Bhogal (Maharashtra), with Kerala’s Abhishek T.M. defeating Bihar’s Vishal Sharma. Prashant J. Nayak (Karnataka) and Ujjwal Bansal (Gujarat) ended in a draw, while Kerala’s Karan J.P. triumphed over Chinmay Kannan Ayyar (Maharashtra). Matches between Shitij Prasad (Maharashtra) and Bhupnath (Bihar) also ended in a draw, but Pankaj Sharma from Punjab secured victory over his compatriot Deepak Batra. Similarly, Vikramaditya Sahu from Maharashtra defeated Dars Shetty, while K.K. Chatterjee (West Bengal) beat Ravi Chaudhary (Uttar Pradesh).

Further results include Assam’s Deboshnak Day defeating Rajasthan’s Rishen Jilwa, Bihar’s Mrityunjay Kumar winning against Trishad Miranka (Maharashtra), and Delhi’s Harish Sharma defeating Shivmohan Dwivedi (Uttar Pradesh). Arpit Saxena (Rajasthan) defeated Sunny Bedi (Rajasthan), and Soham Pawar (Maharashtra) lost to Vaidhyanathan Kannan from the USA. Rajasthan’s Rishi Mundra was defeated by Akshat Negi (Delhi), while Armaan Siddiqui (West Bengal) defeated Arghya Sen (West Bengal). Other victories include Om Dayanand Ramgude (Maharashtra) defeating Hardik Shah (Rajasthan), Shourya Paul (West Bengal) beating Pawan Sain (Rajasthan), and Ankit Chudasama (Gujarat) defeating Yuga Vishal Bardia (Maharashtra). 

Additional results saw Om Gada (Maharashtra) defeating Siddharth Samaddar (Telangana), Saikat Nath (Delhi) winning against Yashwant Pawar (Maharashtra), and Parshv Parmar (Rajasthan) defeating Rishan Jain (Rajasthan). Subhrijit Day (West Bengal) also triumphed over Vishwaditya Awasthi (Maharashtra).
