### Exhibition for Harassment-Free Workplace and Blood Donation Camp Organized

PMCH :A Unique Initiative

While the city is witnessing several Ganpati Puja celebrations this year, the Ganesh Mahotsav organized by Pacific Medical University in collaboration with Tirupati Nursing College has become the talk of the town. The program's coordinators, Associate Professors Sanjay Nagda and Vishal Chauhan, highlighted that nurses across the country tirelessly serve patients day and night. Unfortunately, many are subjected to harassment and even assault at their workplaces, which is intolerable. To address this issue, the students of the institution are holding an exhibition, requesting Lord Ganesha for not only prosperity but also a safe and harassment-free workplace.

Chairman of the institution, Mr. Rahul Agarwal, CEO Mr. Sharad Kothari, Executive Director Mr. Aman Agarwal, and Vice Chancellor Dr. M.M. Mangal applauded the noble efforts of the nursing college. They expressed that the blood donation camp organized during the Ganesh festival sends a powerful message to the entire city, especially during the dengue outbreak when blood banks are facing acute shortages. This initiative stands as an exemplary gesture of service.

Professor Dr. K.C. Yadav, Dean of the institution, commended the students for celebrating Ganesh Mahotsav through acts of service. He emphasized that nursing is a profession deeply rooted in service, and this initiative by the faculty and students sets a remarkable example of combining auspicious celebrations with social welfare activities. He further added that serving patients and the community is the true way to worship Lord Ganesha.

Dr. Sunil Joshi, Principal of Tirupati College of Nursing, pointed out that hospitals are currently grappling with the dengue outbreak, leading to a high demand for blood. Hence, the nursing students took the noble step of organizing a blood donation camp. The program coordinators, Sanjay Nagda and Vishal Chauhan, explained that this five-day event includes an exhibition, a blood donation camp, a Sundarkand recitation, and video messages to inform the public about Ganpati Visarjan. This unique initiative will set an example across the city and inspire many others in the future.

In today’s blood donation camp, both students and faculty participated enthusiastically, collecting 280 units of blood that were donated to the blood bank. The event was graced by Dr. Ummed Singh Parihar, Principal and Controller of Pacific Medical College and Hospital; Dr. K.C. Vyas and Dr. Dhaval Sharma from the Department of Surgery; Mr. Hitesh Sharma from the Paramedical College; Principal Mr. Abhishek Acharya; Blood Bank In-charge Mr. Anil Sahadev; Mr. Ravi Sen; and other dignitaries from Tirupati College of Nursing.
