Congress Leader Condemns Offensive Remarks Against Rahul Gandhi
Pankaj Kumar Sharma, General Secretary and Spokesperson of the Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee, strongly condemned the recent derogatory remarks made against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. Sharma expressed concern that whenever Gandhi raises significant national issues, senior leaders of the ruling party resort to disrespectful and baseless statements against him.
Recently, several BJP leaders used inappropriate language towards Rahul Gandhi. Sharma stated that these personal attacks are not only against political decorum but also diminish the quality of democratic discourse in the country.
He highlighted that during his recent trip to the United States, Rahul Gandhi spoke about national unity, social harmony, and citizens' rights. He drew attention to the challenges facing India and opposed the arrogance and hate-driven politics of those in power. Sharma accused ruling party leaders of distorting Gandhi's constructive and responsible approach, diverting public attention with insulting statements.
Sharma asserted that such offensive rhetoric undermines democratic values and norms. He urged Prime Minister Modi to instill disciplined conduct among his party members and to prevent them from making baseless comments. While political disagreements are natural, the use of personal attacks and disrespectful language is not only condemnable but also harms the dignity of democracy.
He called on the Prime Minister to guide his leaders towards responsible and respectful behavior, ensuring that brotherhood, unity, and peace prevail in the country.
