The event, organized by the National Mining Agency of Colombia and under the guidance of the International Mines Rescue Body (IMRB), saw over 20 teams from eight countries participate.
This year’s competition marked the first time an all-women team from India participated. The teams were tested in simulated underground mine rescue scenarios across six categories, including mine rescue in both breathing and non-breathing atmospheres, first aid, rescue skills, equipment maintenance, and theoretical knowledge.
