Today, the Tobacco Cessation Center was inaugurated at Pacific Medical College and Hospital (PMCH) by Dr. M.M.angal, President of Pacific Medical University, along with Pro-President Dr. Sangeeta Chauhan, Dean Dr. U.S. Parihar, Dr. Mahendra Khatri from the PSM Department, Dr. Neeta Sahi from the Biochemistry Department, Dr. Ghaval, the Nodal Officer of the Tobacco Cessation Center, and Dr. Bhakti from the Psychiatry Department, who cut the ribbon to mark the occasion.
During the inauguration, Dr. M.M.angal emphasized that the center will provide treatment and counseling for individuals addicted to tobacco. He stated that millions of people lose their lives each year due to tobacco consumption in the country. The government is working to make all educational institutions tobacco-free to help keep the youth away from tobacco use. In this regard, PMCH’s initiative will be instrumental in keeping future generations free from addiction.
