Jaipur: The elections for the zonal executive of the All India SC/ST Railway Employees Association, North Western Railway, were successfully held today at the Association's office in the Loco Colony. Mr. B. L. Bairwa was elected unopposed as the Zonal Secretary for the eighth time. Mr. T. R. Meena was elected as Zonal President, Mr. Vinod Kumar Meena as Zonal Executive President, Mr. Ram Singh as Zonal Additional Secretary, and Mr. Ghasi Ram Naredia as Zonal Treasurer, all unopposed.
Election Officer Mr. Ram Babu Lal Gautam and Assistant Election Officer Mr. Charan Das Meena conducted the entire election process democratically and peacefully, congratulating the newly elected officials with garlands. Officials from all divisions, factories, and branches of North Western Railway participated in the event, extending their congratulations to the newly elected zonal executive.
In his address, Mr. B. L. Bairwa stated that indiscipline within the organization would no longer be tolerated and that 100% of Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe employees in North Western Railway would be made members of the Association. He mentioned that elections for trade union recognition are upcoming, and the decisions made by the Association's central executive will be fully implemented in the organization's interest. Discussions have been held with the Ministry of Railways regarding enhancing the Association's facilities, and it is expected that some improvements will be announced soon. He also noted that this year's national convention of the Association will be held on Constitution Day, November 26, 2024, in Nagpur, Maharashtra, with Honorable Rail Minister Mr. Ashwini Vaishnaw agreeing to be the chief guest.
