###India’s Data Must Stay in Indian Data Centers: Akash Ambani

New Delhi,Akash Ambani, Chairman of Reliance Jio, emphasized at the India Mobile Congress 2024 that India’s data must remain within Indian data centers. He highlighted the rapid growth of data generation in the country, accelerated by AI, and stressed the need for establishing AI and machine learning data centers. Ambani called on the government to offer incentives to Indian companies for this purpose and urged a timely update of the draft Data Center Policy 2020.

Ambani underscored the significance of AI in achieving a developed India and mentioned that Jio has already started efforts to deliver powerful AI models and services at affordable rates. He revealed that Jio is building the foundation for a national AI infrastructure to ensure AI’s benefits reach every Indian, much like the expansion of mobile broadband.

Commending the Prime Minister’s visionary leadership, Ambani said that India is now capable of providing AI solutions globally. He assured that India will not only lead in mobile innovation but also embrace AI to create a connected and intelligent future, which will drive employment growth, as seen with the advent of computers and the internet.

Jio Unveils Two New 4G Feature Phones

At India Mobile Congress 2024, Reliance Jio launched two new 4G feature phones, Jio Bharat V3 and V4, priced at ₹1,099. These phones will soon be available in the market with 128 GB storage and support for 23 languages. For ₹123 per month, users will get unlimited calls and 14 GB data. Pre-loaded apps include Jio TV, Jio Cinema, Jio Pay, and Jio Chat. The V3 and V4 models will soon be available on Jio Mart and Amazon.
