"One Tree in the Name of Mother" Marks a Requirement for Agricultural Degree

 Udaipur : In continuation of the "One Tree in the Name of Mother" initiative, the Rajasthan College of Agriculture, a constituent of Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology, conducted a tree plantation program at the college's Plant Science Farm and sports ground. 

During this event, 200 Ashoka saplings were planted, with first-year B.Sc. (Agriculture) students taking a pledge to care for these plants throughout their four-year course. 

The chief guest, Vice-Chancellor Dr. Ajit Kumar Karnataka, inaugurated the program and emphasized the importance and utility of trees, highlighting their role in maintaining environmental purity. 

While addressing the students, Dean Dr. R.B. Dubey reiterated the need for continuous care of the saplings and informed the students that maintaining these plants will be a requirement for their graduation degree. 

Coordinator and Assistant Director of Physical Education Dr. Kapil Dev Ameta noted that the planted Ashoka trees will enhance the beauty of the college grounds. 

The event was attended by members of the Green People Society, including Mr. Yasin Pathan and Mr. Shivji Gaud, along with department heads, faculty members, staff, and senior students. At the conclusion of the tree plantation program, Assistant Dean of Student Welfare Dr. S.S. Lakhawat and Administrative Officer Dr. Ramesh Babu expressed gratitude to all participants.
