World Radiology Day Celebrated at R.N.T. Medical College
World Radiology Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at the Radiodiagnosis Department of R.N.T. Medical College, Udaipur.
On this occasion, the Chief Guest, Principal and Controller Dr. Vipin Mathur, inaugurated the ceremony by offering floral tributes and lighting the lamp in front of a portrait of Sir William Röntgen, the discoverer of X-rays. The head of the Radiodiagnosis Department, Dr. Narendra Kadam, highlighted the life of Sir Wilhelm Conrad Röntgen and gave a detailed speech on the importance of X-rays, from its discovery to its significant role in modern imaging techniques.
Additional Principal and Professor of the Radiodiagnosis Department, Dr. Kushal Gahlot, spoke about the importance of X-rays in modern medicine, as well as the potential side effects resulting from their overuse.
The event also saw participation from heads of various departments, faculty members, and senior radiographers, who shared their insights on the role of radiology in medical science.
During the ceremony, faculty members and radiographers who had performed exceptionally well in their work were honored with awards.
The program was conducted by In-charge Radiographer Rahul Dev and Mitali Chaturvedi. The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks from Senior Radiographers Lalit Agarwal and Krishna Chand Saini.
