Inauguration of District-Level Tribal Sports Competition

The District Sports Officer, Mahesh Paliwal, informed that the Rajasthan State Sports Council, Jaipur, and the Regional Sports Training Center, Udaipur, jointly organized the District-Level Tribal Sports Competition at Maharana Bhupal Stadium today, November 14, 2024. The event featured competitions in various sports including Athletics, Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, Volleyball, Basketball, Archery, Hockey (Boys/Girls), and Football (Boys).
Around 450 athletes from tribal areas of Udaipur district participated in the competition. The Rajasthan State Sports Council ensured proper arrangements for food, medical facilities, ground setup, and sports equipment for all participating athletes.
The inauguration ceremony was held at 11:00 AM at Maharana Bhupal Stadium (Gandhi Ground), Udaipur. The event was attended by various dignitaries, including former District Sports Officer Sunita Bhandari, Giridhar Singh, Shakeel Hussain, and all coaches from the Sports Council, along with physical education teachers from the Education Department.
Dr. Paliwal further explained that the competition included sports such as Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, Football, Archery, Hockey, Basketball, Volleyball, and Athletics events like 100 meters, 200 meters, 400 meters, 1500 meters, and 4x100 meters relay. The semifinals and finals will be held at Maharana Bhupal Stadium.
