Rajkot: A massive donation of over ₹60 crore has been raised during the Ram Katha conducted by renowned spiritual guru Morari Bapu in Rajkot. The funds will be utilized to build a senior citizens' home and for various other charitable causes under the Sadbhavana Trust.
On the inaugural day of the Ram Katha held at Rajkot’s Racecourse Ground, Bapu appealed to the audience to show their love and support for the elderly and nature. Overwhelmed by his appeal, devotees donated generously, underscoring the profound impact of the Ram Katha’s message of compassion and humanity.
A key objective of this Ram Katha was to raise funds for the Sadbhavana Senior Citizens' Home, a ₹300 crore project in Padhari, Jamnagar Road. Designed to provide a home for the destitute, disabled, and helpless elderly, the home will have 1,400 rooms, ensuring the elderly are cared for with utmost respect. The project also aims to promote environmental conservation through large-scale afforestation, aligning spiritual values with our responsibility towards the environment.
This Ram Katha marks the 947th in Morari Bapu’s six-decade-long journey of uplifting society through the teachings of Lord Rama and the Ramayana. His timeless message of truth, love, and compassion has inspired millions of devotees worldwide. The Rajkot event further highlighted the transformative power of spirituality in society.
