Inception of the Think Tank Camp by the Ministry of Women and Health in the City of Lakes

Udaipur, A three-day Think Tank camp on the challenges and solutions related to the comprehensive development and welfare of women and children began on Friday. The event, jointly organized by the Ministry of Women and Child Development and the Rajasthan Government, is being held at the Radisson Blu Palace Hotel located on the banks of the world-renowned Fatehsagar Lake. The arrival of ministers, secretaries, and distinguished guests from across the country continued till late evening.

The Minister of Women and Child Development, Smt. Annapurna Devi, Minister of State for Women and Child Development, Smt. Savitri Thakur, Rajasthan’s Deputy Chief Minister Ms. Diya Kumari, State Minister for Women and Child Development Dr. Manju Bagmar, Secretary of the Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of India, Mr. Anil Malik, and other dignitaries reached the venue, where they were warmly welcomed with Mewari turbans, shawls, and bouquets by officials including Mahendra Soni, Secretary of the Department of Women and Child Development.

Mr. Mahendra Soni informed that, as per the program schedule, registration of guests and delegates took place on Friday. On Saturday, January 11, at 9:30 AM, the inaugural ceremony will take place, with Smt. Annapurna Devi, Minister of Women and Child Development, officially inaugurating the event. Chief Minister Mr. Bhajan Lal Sharma, Deputy Chief Minister Ms. Diya Kumari, and ministers from various states and union territories’ departments of Women and Child Development will also participate. The ceremony will highlight the government’s commitment to women and children’s welfare through key initiatives.

The event will focus on major government programs, including Mission Vatsalya, Mission Shakti, Mission Saksham Anganwadi, and Nutrition 2.0. These sessions aim to find solutions to critical issues and pave the way for strengthening women’s welfare and child development in India.

Showcasing Best Innovations: During the camp, states and union territories will present their successful initiatives aimed at addressing the challenges faced by women and children. Discussions will revolve around how to scale these practices across more districts for better service delivery to beneficiaries.

Open Discussions for Solutions: The camp will also facilitate open discussions with representatives from states and union territories, offering a platform to collaborate on solving challenges, share ideas, and ensure the current programs meet the needs of the target populations. Key topics of discussion will include strengthening Anganwadi centers, child welfare through improved childcare institutions, adoption, and post-adoption care through Mission Vatsalya, and the use of technology, such as the She-Box portal, under Mission Shakti to address women’s security, child marriage, and women’s empowerment.

The camp will conclude on January 12 with a press conference, where ministers, state ministers, and senior officials will brief the media about the results of the event and outline future actions for the ministry’s initiatives.
