Inauguration of Calendar Focused on Animal Welfare and Compassion

Udaipur: During the Animal Welfare Fortnight, observed from January 14 to 30, a calendar dedicated to promoting love and compassion towards animals was launched in memory of Thakur Moti Singh Jagawat, the first student of Bhupal Nobles Institute. The calendar, compiled by his grandson, Satyapal Singh Chundawat, and published by Rajnobles, was unveiled by the Executive Committee of Vidya Pracharini Sabha at the Institute's Pratap Chowk.

Dr. Virendra Singh Chundawat, Principal of BN School, highlighted the importance of celebrating Animal Welfare Fortnight. Chief speaker and coordinator, Satyapal Singh, emphasized that protecting animals is essential for maintaining environmental balance. He shared the idea that while the phrase "If there is life, there is the world" is often used, it is equally important to focus on the concept that "If there is the world, there is life." He explained that all elements of nature are interconnected, making life on Earth more harmonious.

Satyapal Singh further explained that caring for sick or helpless domestic animals is a sign of humanity. He stated that under the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, neglecting to provide food, water, or proper care, as well as acts of abuse like beating, kicking, overloading, or exploiting sick animals, is punishable by law.

After the lecture, all students and teachers took nine specific pledges related to animal welfare and compassion. They also committed to spreading awareness in their local communities and encouraging people to sign pledges for the cause.

The event was attended by Dr. Jabbar Singh Tadawada, Vice President of the Institute, Dr. Mahendra Singh Agarwal, Minister, Mohabbat Singh Rathore, Managing Director, Dr. Niranjan Narayan Singh Khod, Registrar, Nakul Singh Bhati, Gajendra Singh Ghatyawali, Bhawani Pratap Singh Jhala, and Raghuveer Singh Madara, among others. During the Animal Welfare Fortnight, various competitions will be organized across the Institute's different initiatives to raise public awareness.
