District Education Officer Bharti Provides Necessary Directions

Pre-Event Preparatory Meeting for the 19-Year-Old Girls' National Cricket Tournament

Udaipur: For the first time in Udaipur’s history, the 19-year-old girls' national cricket tournament of the School Games Federation of India (SGFI) will be held under the auspices of the Government Mahatma Gandhi English Medium School, Sundarwas, Udaipur. A preparatory meeting was held on Monday with the principals, teachers, and physical education teachers appointed by the education department for the successful organization and operation of the tournament. The meeting was led by District Education Officer (Secondary) Lokesh Bharti, who reviewed the progress made so far and provided essential directions.

In the temporary office set up at Sophia Senior Secondary School, South Sundarwas, DEO Bharti instructed all personnel to fulfill their duties with dedication and commitment. He also appreciated Dr. Ashutosh Dadhich, Principal of Sophia Senior Secondary School, for providing a meeting hall, a room, and computer facilities for the temporary office, presenting him with a traditional turban and shawl as a mark of respect. 

The District Education Officer for Secondary Education informed that the national cricket tournament will be held from 29th January to 3rd February 2025 at various cricket grounds across the city. Cricket teams from different states across India will participate in the 19-year-old girls' category. Under the guidance of District Collector Arvind Poswal, advanced bookings for the city’s various cricket grounds have already been made. 

Additional District Education Officer Murli Dhar Chobisa, who visited the site to review the preparations, mentioned that various tasks have been divided into separate committees, with responsibilities assigned according to the competencies of the staff. 

Sub-District Education Officer for Physical Education, Lakshman Lal Salvi, also visited the office to assess the preparations. 

The organizing secretary of the tournament, Dr. Ashutosh Tuli, Principal of Mahatma Gandhi School, Sundarwas, explained that under the guidance of senior officials, several committees have been formed, including the transportation committee, accommodation committee, sports ground committee, general administration and event committee, welcome committee, invitation letter writing and distribution committee, stage management and inauguration/closing ceremony committee, control room (inquiries) committee, snacks and meal committee, registration and eligibility certificate writing committee, sports material distribution committee, prize distribution committee, record maintenance committee, water and electricity supply committee, discipline and security committee, march-past and flag-hoisting committee, communication and media committee, and medical committee.
