Veteran journalist and author Purushottam Pancholi will be honored with the prestigious "True Media Award" in New Delhi for his significant contributions to creative journalism. The award will be presented to him at the 24th International Hindi Conference, which will be held in Kathmandu, Nepal, from February 15 to 25, 2025.
Dr. Savita Mohan, the president of the International Hindi Conference, stated that four creators will be recognized for their outstanding contributions at this event. The awards will be presented by the renowned "True Media" organization, a leading publication and communication group.
The True Media Award for Literature will be presented to Dr. Krishna Kumar Prajapati from Rourkela, for Culture to Dr. Suniti Acharya from Dhule, Maharashtra, for Creative Journalism to Purushottam Pancholi from Kota (Rajasthan), and for Social Work to Mrs. Indrani Maleya from Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh.
Purushottam Pancholi has been an active journalist for over four decades and has worked with leading newspapers like "Navbharat Times" and "Jansatta." He is also known for his contributions to the "Mera Gaon" column in Outlook magazine.
Pancholi gained recognition for his interview with former South African President Nelson Mandela's wife and senior diplomat, Winnie Mandela, during his stay in South Africa for journalistic purposes.
In addition to journalism, Pancholi has been consistently active in writing. His work "Morning Walk" was published by the Rajasthan Sahitya Academy. Recently, his memoir "Karoge Yaad To..." received the India Net Books Award. Currently, he is working on two books about journalism.
