Director Sanoj Mishra Signs Viral Girl Monalisa for 'Diary of Manipur'

Monalisa, who went viral during the Kumbh Mela due to her enchanting eyes and sweet smile, has been signed by director Sanoj Mishra for a lead role in his upcoming film, *Diary of Manipur*. Monalisa, who had come to Kumbh Mela to sell Rudraksha beads, was forced to leave after 15 days due to her sudden popularity. With cameras constantly following her, she was unable to sell her beads or enjoy any peace of mind.

Now back home in Maheshwar, Madhya Pradesh, Monalisa was approached by director Sanoj Mishra, who traveled to her village to sign her for his film. Before filming begins, she will receive acting training in Mumbai.

Monalisa’s sudden rise to fame at the Kumbh Mela caught the attention of many, including Sanoj Mishra, who was so impressed by her beauty and charm that he decided to cast her in his film.

Currently, director Sanoj Mishra is busy preparing for *Diary of Manipur*, a film based on the burning issues in Manipur. The film will mark the Bollywood debut of Amit Rao, the older brother of Bollywood star Rajkummar Rao.

Sanoj Mishra is known for his films that focus on critical social issues, such as *Kashi to Kashmir* and *The Diary of West Bengal*, which faced significant opposition, even including death threats. However, Mishra went ahead with the release of the film, which was well-received by audiences.

*Diary of Manipur* is being produced under the banner of Sanoj Mishra Films, with Sanoj Mishra as the writer, producer, and director. The film's co-producers are Yameen Khan and Javed Devariwale, and the film’s publicist is Sanjay Bhushan Patiala.
