The story revolves around Tukkku, the son of a wealthy landlord, who never attended school and spent his days playing street games and flying kites, fostering a carefree lifestyle. One day, an astrologer sees an opportunity in Tukkku and convinces him that he is destined to become a high-ranking official in the royal court if he takes the imperial exam. Excited by this prospect, Tukkku generously rewards the astrologer and heads to the capital.

With the help of the royal seal, he secures a position in the court. His foolish decisions are surprisingly welcomed, except by a jester who recognizes his ignorance. However, when Tukkku hastily decides to present a poem to the Nawab on his birthday, his illiteracy is exposed. A senior officer, aware of Tukkku’s secret, exploits the situation by writing the poem on his behalf.

Just as the recitation is about to begin, rebels attack the palace, overthrowing the Nawab. The new ruler, impressed by the poem attributed to Tukkku, appoints him as the next Nawab, elevating his fortunes unexpectedly.
