Udaipur: An inspiring example of women empowerment was set by Rahda Foundation, which organized a two-day medical camp at the Bedwas Panchayat Samiti Bhavan. Notably, all volunteers were women, making it a historic event. More than 400 rural residents received medical guidance for various health issues.

The camp was inaugurated by Udaipur Rural MLA Phool Singh Meena, who also underwent a health check-up. He urged villagers to get regular medical check-ups to detect illnesses at an early stage. The camp provided blood tests, ECG, TMT, gynecology services, eye check-ups, and essential medicines to the attendees.

92-Year-Old Patient Dropped Home

Founder of Rahda Foundation, Archana Singh Charan, shared that many patients in need were personally escorted home by the team. A 92-year-old man from a nearby village not only sought medical help but also mentioned his lack of electricity at home. The foundation assured assistance and arranged for his safe return.

Villagers Showed Awareness and Enthusiasm

Bedwas Gram Panchayat Sarpanch Shankar Lal Gameti and his team actively contributed to the success of the camp. There was visible enthusiasm and awareness among villagers regarding health check-ups. Some patients were also advised to visit larger hospitals for further treatment.

Poster Unveiling and Administrative Appreciation

Udaipur Collector Namit Mehta unveiled the official poster of the medical camp and appreciated the initiative. Coromandel International also provided support for the event. This camp proved to be a significant step towards strengthening rural healthcare services.
