Bhajanlal Government: The Goal of Antyodaya, The Path of Antyodaya, The Resolve of Antyodaya

Sri Ganganagar: Under the leadership of Honorable Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma, the state government is working with the goal of "Antyodaya" as envisioned by Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya. Over the past year, several decisions have been made for the welfare of those at the bottom of the social ladder. Various schemes have been created for the development of villages, and for the benefit of the poor, farmers, laborers, street vendors, widows, the disabled, the elderly, and other marginalized sections of society.

Under the Prime Minister’s Street Vendor Atma Nirbhar Nidhi Scheme, 83,000 street vendors have been provided with loans worth ₹105 crore. The Chief Minister’s Urban Employment Guarantee Scheme has spent ₹221 crore, providing employment to 3.26 lakh families. The Namaste Scheme has trained 1,253 sanitation workers for self-employment. The Scheduled Caste Corporation has provided loans for self-employment to 9,185 individuals from SC, ST, sanitation workers, disabled, and OBC communities.

In the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGA), more than 35 crore human days have been created, with over 3.70 lakh works completed, and more than ₹11,344 crore spent. Over 5 lakh families have completed 100 days of work. In 8 districts with a predominant tribal population, job card holding families completing 100 days of work are being provided an additional 50 days of work funded by the state government.

Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural), 100% coverage for toilets, 91% for gas connections, and 92% for electricity connections have been provided to applicants. In the last few years, 38,447 pending houses have been completed. Notably, the state is ranked first in terms of approval and first installment disbursement for the 2024-2025 targets. Under the Prime Minister’s Tribal Housing Mission in Baran district, 2,112 houses have been completed at a cost of ₹192.60 crore.

The Chief Minister Ayushman Aarogya (MAA) Scheme provides free services for 25,000 pregnant women every month at 1,271 authorized private sonography centers, and QR code-generated coupons have been issued to more than 72,000 pregnant women. The Ladli Incentive Scheme offers ₹1 lakh to families upon the birth of a girl child. Eight lakh senior citizens are being provided with cashless treatment, and 73 daycare packages for serious illnesses such as cancer are available. Through the Ujjwala Scheme, BPL women are provided with LPG cylinders at ₹450.

Under the Building and Other Construction Workers Act, 4.23 lakh workers have received assistance of ₹423.25 crore. The Chief Minister Special Divyang Employment Scheme has spent ₹2.22 crore to benefit 299 persons, and the Joint Assistance Grant Scheme has spent ₹25.49 crore to benefit 13,044 special persons. In addition, ₹360 lakh has been spent on the Sukhad Damping Life Scheme benefiting 170 differently-abled individuals.

In the Chief Minister Kanyadan Yojana, ₹54.58 crore has been provided for the marriage of 14,359 girls. ₹85.65 crore has been given to 2,876 applicants suffering from silicosis disease. There has been a 6.61 lakh increase in beneficiaries of pension schemes. Under the Chief Minister’s Elderly Citizen Pension Scheme, ₹8,173 crore has been provided to 51.90 lakh pensioners. The National Old Age Pension Scheme has benefitted 8.49 lakh pensioners with ₹835.22 crore in pensions, and the National Disabled Pension Scheme has assisted over 17,125 pensioners with ₹25.69 crore.

In the Elderly Small Marginal Farmer Pension Scheme, ₹316 crore was spent on 2.09 lakh pensioners. The Palanhar Scheme has benefitted 6.15 lakh children, with ₹1,284 crore spent, including 42,163 new beneficiaries. The state government has spent ₹877.57 crore under RTE for the reimbursement of school fees for 2.04 lakh newly admitted students in the 2024-25 academic session.

The government has included coarse grains in the meals served under the Annapurna Scheme and increased the quantity of food served. The government’s subsidy for the meal has been raised from ₹17 to ₹22 per plate, ensuring nutritious and fresh food for those who avail of it.

Under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma, the state government is working for every class and community, realizing the dream of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya’s Antyodaya.
