Two-Day Farmer Training Program on the Importance of Flower and Mushroom Cultivation in Crop Diversification

A two-day farmer training program on crop diversification was organized in Turgarh village, Udaipur, under the Crop Diversification Project of the Research Directorate of Maharana Pratap Agricultural and Technology University. The objective of the program was to enhance farmers' income and agricultural stability through crop diversification. Project Officer Dr. Hari Singh discussed the economic and environmental benefits of crop diversification and provided information about schemes like the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana, e-NAM, and Minimum Support Price.

Chief Guest Professor Lakshmi Narayan Mahawar highlighted the importance of flower cultivation in Southern Rajasthan, while Professor Narayan Lal Meena focused on the economic and health benefits of mushroom farming. Over 40 farmers participated in the program and committed to improving their agricultural income and stability through crop diversification.
