PIMS Mewar Cup Season 3: GR Cricket Academy and Liberty Win Their Matches

Udaipur – The third season of the PIMS Mewar Cup, currently underway at the Field Club Ground in Lake City, saw GR Cricket Academy and Liberty win their respective matches on Friday. This season of the Mewar Cup will feature international, national, and IPL players, hitting boundaries and sixes on the field. After the successful organization of the PIMS Mewar Cup last year, this season's third edition is being held under the sponsorship of PIMS Hospital Umdra and Miraj Pipe and Fittings. The semi-finals and finals will be played on Saturday and Sunday at the Madan Paliwal Miraj Cricket Stadium in Nathdwara.

Organizers Naman Agarwal and Kuldeep Ameria stated that in the T-20 competition held at the Field Club, in the first match of the day, Adityam Real Estate scored 191 runs. Smrit Patel contributed 60 runs off 23 balls, and Vipul Patel made 44 runs off 27 balls. Ankit Kushwaha and Vishwajeet Singh took 2 wickets each. In response, Liberty chased down the target in 17.3 overs, scoring 193 runs for the loss of 6 wickets, and won the match by 4 wickets. Apurv Wankhede made 42 runs, Yajsh Sharma scored 40, and Jitesh Sharma contributed 30 runs. The Man of the Match was Harsh Vaishnav, who scored 32 runs and took 3 wickets.

Organizers Chandrapal Singh Chundawat and Harshit Dabhai shared that in the second match, GR Cricket Academy scored 215 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Bharat Sharma made 57, Adarsh Sharma contributed 41, and Rohit Kichar added 36 runs. Shahbaz Khan took 4 wickets. In response, PIMS could only manage 167 runs for the loss of 8 wickets, losing the match by 48 runs. Bharat Sharma was named Man of the Match.

The competition features teams like Liberty, PIMS, MPC, Delhi Challengers, Udaipur Lakecity Warriors, Udaipur Cricket Academy, Adityam Real Estate, and GR Cricket Academy. A lucky draw will be held every day, with the final lucky draw winner receiving an electric scooter. The winning team will be awarded ₹5 lakh, and the runners-up will receive ₹3 lakh. The semi-finals and finals will be played at the Madan Paliwal Miraj Cricket Stadium in Nathdwara on Saturday and Sunday.
