Demand for Separate Kalyanpur Panchayat Samiti Gains Momentum
Udaipur, Amid the ongoing panchayat restructuring process in Rajasthan, the demand to separate Kalyanpur from Rishabhdev Panchayat Samiti and establish a new panchayat samiti has intensified. Local residents are actively raising the issue with the authorities.
On Thursday, a delegation of villagers met Udaipur MP Dr. Mannalal Rawat and submitted a memorandum reiterating their demand. The MP responded positively and assured them of support. Notably, on Wednesday, villagers had also submitted memorandums to District Collector Namit Mehta and BJP leaders regarding the same.
Mandal President Ishwarlal Meena, while handing over the memorandum, stated that Kalyanpur fulfills all necessary criteria for a new panchayat samiti. With a growing population and its status as a scheduled area, the formation of this administrative unit is essential for ensuring better governance and accessibility of public services.
Prominent figures present included former deputy sarpanch Janak Singh Jhala, former sarpanch Mansharam Parmar, former Mandal president Devilal Meena, RSS worker Panna Lal Meena, Mandal general secretary Nahar Singh Meena, and Barna sarpanch Shankar Lal.
