Udaipur: SFAB employees at Mohanlal Sukhadia University have not received their salaries for January and February. Despite repeated pleas to the administration, no action has been taken. Due to financial distress, employees and their families are struggling, and with the major festival of Holi approaching, their hardships have worsened.
Last year, employees faced a similar situation, with salaries being delayed for three months before Holi. Now, history is repeating itself. Employees allege that the administration is deliberately ignoring their plight to force them to resign, allowing them to hire their preferred candidates instead.
The Rajasthan government extended the tenure of SFAB employees from January 1, 2025, to December 31, 2025, and issued an official order. However, the university administration has yet to implement it, resulting in salary delays.
Forced by circumstances, employees had to resort to strikes and protests, leading to a complete shutdown of the university. Students, along with permanent and temporary staff, supported them. This collective effort compelled the government to intervene and issue the one-year extension order. Yet, the administration's negligence continues, leaving employees unpaid.
SFAB employees have appealed to the public and government to raise their voices and help ensure they receive their salaries on time.
