Literary Excellence Through Continuous Dedication: Bharat Chandra Sharma

Banswara – Renowned literary figure, critic, and national awardee Bharat Chandra Sharma shared his insightful views on poetry at a literary event organized by the Ujas family. He highlighted that poetry has always served as a bridge between individuals and society, transcending time and eras. Sharma emphasized that the act of creating literature is a divine gift to humankind and that consistent dedication is the key to achieving greatness in this field.

The event, held on the occasion of World Poetry Day, saw Sharma speaking at a literary gathering where he traced poetry's historic journey and its crucial role in both the freedom struggle and preserving India’s rich cultural heritage. “Poetry has always been a source of guidance, whether it was during our struggle for independence or in maintaining the dignity of our ancient traditions,” he remarked.

Spiritual activist Ateeat Garasia began the evening with a Sanskrit-based Saraswati Vandana, creating an atmosphere of spiritual reverence. The event also featured various literary presentations, including the poems of Harish Acharya, the creator of the popular GGTU anthem. Acharya brought forward the connection between nature and poetry, with lines such as "When you view creation through the lens of poetry, it will seem as if verses rained down from the sky." He also recited, "For centuries, poems have often turned hatred into love, flowing as rivers in deserts."

Veteran poet and Doha specialist, Saeed Manzar, expressed his universal view on poetry, saying, "A devotee never turns away, and if the prayer turns away, it’s no longer a prayer." Motivational speaker and educator Prakash Pandya shed light on the broader perspective of poetry, saying, "Poetry is not just born from within you; the ability to see, speak, and feel poetry is its essence." Pandya also recited a heartfelt song that reflected poetry's long journey: "Anjuri Tum, Tum Samandar, Tum Nabha ki Niharika..."

Other prominent speakers included scholars like Amita Sharma and Dharmistha Pandya. Sharma's poignant verse on human suffering received applause: “The more I’ve seen people smile, the more sorrow I found in them." Meanwhile, Pandya's reflections on the role of women in poetry stirred great interest with her verse: "Is woman poetry or is poetry woman, who can define the beauty of this unique ritual?"

Several other poets and literary figures like Kapil Mantej, Bhuwan Pandya, Harikrishna Acharya, Madhur Geetkar Taresh Dave, Dr. Deepika Rao, and ethical poet Kavi Kalal enchanted the audience with their performances. The event concluded with a thoughtful reflection by the host, Bhanwar Garg 'Madhukar', who reminded the audience, "The true poet is one who guides others while also fulfilling his own path."

The event was seamlessly conducted by the melodious voice of the poetess Sarika Bhuwan Trivedi, making it an evening of literary delight.
