Celebrating World Health Day 2025 at Geetanjali Hospital
An inspiring blend of knowledge, creativity, and community spirit
Udaipur, Geetanjali Medical College and Hospital, Udaipur, marked World Health Day 2025 with vibrant energy and enthusiastic participation. The event was spearheaded by the Department of Community Medicine under the leadership of Dr. Mukul Dixit, Head of the Department.
A major highlight of the celebration was the National Undergraduate Quiz Competition, which saw participation from 261 MBBS students in its preliminary round. Four top-performing teams—each comprising three students—advanced to the final round, where they showcased remarkable knowledge and quick thinking.
The quiz was seamlessly conducted by Dr. Anjana Verma and Dr. Medha Mathur, with Dr. Amit Kumar serving as the nodal officer. Judging responsibilities were shouldered by Dr. Anjana Verma (Professor & Head, Obstetrics and Gynaecology) and Dr. Sanjay Mandot (Professor & Head, Pediatrics).
The success of the event was further enhanced by the dedicated support of faculty members including Dr. Hemlata Mittal, Dr. Jyoti Jain, Dr. Bhagraj Choudhary, Dr. Suresh Choudhary, Dr. Abhishek Kumar, Dr. Anshika Jain, Dr. Vichitra Sharma, Dr. Prakhar Sharma, Dr. Harleen, Dr. Monica, and Dr. Chinmay. The overall coordination and anchoring of the program were gracefully handled by Dr. Dilshano.
The Dean, Dr. Sangeeta Gupta, graced the closing ceremony and awarded certificates and medals to the winning teams, appreciating their dedication and excellence.
Adding a splash of color and creativity to the celebrations, a Poster Making Competition was held on the theme "Healthy Start, Hopeful Future", with 245 students showcasing their artistic flair. This was complemented by vibrant Rangoli and engaging Reel Making competitions, turning the academic celebration into a true festival of expression.
The event stood out as a perfect blend of knowledge, creativity, and student engagement—making World Health Day 2025 a memorable celebration at Geetanjali.
