SOUTH WESTERN COMMAND CELEBRATES ITS 21st RAISING DAY

Sapta Shakti Command, raised on 15 April 2005, celebrated its 21st Raising Day today at Jaipur. Sapta Shakti Command is the seventh & youngest Command of the Indian Army.

 

Sapta Shakti Command over the last 21yrs has set a high benchmark of professionalism and has established a robust posture on the Western Borders with its motto ‘Sarvada Vijayee Bhava’. The Command has not only excelled in ensuring security of our borders but also ensured high degree of Operational Preparedness & Professional Excellence through Training, Absorption of new Technologies and Evolution of new Technical and Tactical Procedures. The Command has thus evolved into a Future Ready, Technology Driven, Lethal and Agile Force prepared to meet the myriad challenges of a future battle field.

 

The day was solemnised with a wreath laying ceremony at Prerna Sthal, where homage was paid to the valiant soldiers, who made the supreme sacrifice in service of the nation. The event was a poignant reminder of the bravery and selflessness that forms the core of Command’s ethos.

 

On the momentous occasion of the 21st Raising Day of Sapta Shakti Command, Lt Gen Manjinder Singh, Army Commander, Sapta Shakti Command conveyed his heartfelt felicitations and greetings to all Ranks, Veterans, Defence Civilians and Families of the Command. The Army Commander expressed deep appreciation for the selfless dedication, unwavering courage and immense sacrifice of all personnel—past and present—who have contributed to the remarkable journey of the Command. He acknowledged their crucial role in propelling the youngest command of the Indian Army to its zenith and empowering it to establish its own identity and legacy in a short span of time.

 

In his address, the Army Commander mentioned the significant strides taken by the Command to align with the Army’s vision and enhance its operational preparedness by adopting De novo Strategy and synergising multi domain operations. He emphasised on the importance of absorption of new technologies and highlighted various initiatives undertaken by the Command in Technology absorption and infrastructure development.

 

Army Commander also highlighted that veterans and veer naris have been a constant support and strength for the Command and therefore they are the Command’s priority. He emphasised on various initiatives undertaken and being planned for their welfare and wellbeing.

 

The Army Commander called upon every member of the command to re-dedicate themselves to protect the Nation’s sovereignty and confront new challenges with unmatched professionalism and courage. “He urged everyone to march forward, united in purpose and resolve, to reinforce the pillars of our democracy and steadfastly uphold the motto of the Command — Sarvada Vijayee Bhava,”
