Udaipur, 5 April – Udaipur MP Mannalal Rawat has successfully secured approval from the Government of India for road connectivity projects in 195 villages of the Udaipur Parliamentary Constituency under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY). The approval comes in response to consistent demands from local public representatives and will benefit rural residents across Udaipur and Salumber districts.
The plan includes 136 villages in Udaipur district and 59 villages in Salumber, with a total of 464 kilometers of new tarmac roads to be constructed over the next three years.
In Udaipur district, the approved projects include:
Badgaon block: 4 villages – 3.05 km
Dewla: 7 villages – 20.64 km
Girwa: 17 villages – 34.20 km
Gogunda: 18 villages – 32.50 km
Jhadol: 9 villages – 24.10 km
Kherwara: 13 villages – 27.90 km
Kotda: 5 villages – 12.50 km
Nayagaon: 16 villages – 43.50 km
Phalasiya: 20 villages – 49.75 km
Rishabhdev: 15 villages – 49.50 km
Sayra: 12 villages – 37.70 km
In Salumber district:
Sarada block: 4 villages – 7.10 km
Jaisamand: 10 villages – 22.30 km
Semari: 5 villages – 12.20 km
Lasadia: 14 villages – 39.30 km
Jhallaara: 13 villages – 23.50 km
Salumber block: 13 villages – 25.20 km
The total estimated expenditure for these road works is ₹347 crore.
